WORLD—A surprising United Nations report indicated Tuesday that millions of atheist immigrants have begun fleeing oppressive nations built on Judeo-Christian beliefs, such as the United States and the United Kingdom, in favor of the “idyllic atheist paradise” of North Korea.

The totalitarian land of plenty has become a popular refuge for devout atheist pilgrims no longer able to take the persecution and backward philosophies of nations founded upon Judeo-Christian values. But increasing oppression in the U.S. has led to a record number of atheist immigrants flocking to Pyongyang.

“Thanks to the wise and godless policies of Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un, we can have better life and a brighter future,” one atheist immigrant told state-controlled press as he began a third shift at a state-owned steel mill. “This is our Mecca.”

“Let us eternally glorify the sacred revolutionary careers and immortal feats of the great Comrade Kim Il Sung and Comrade Kim Jong Il!”

  1. Still a lot of folk religion in North Korea, supernatural signs allegedly attended the births of their leader and his children. Kind of like the way Trump views himself and his family. Nor is America a strictly Judeo-Christian nation. Though a lot of conservative Christians did vote for Trump, and some even paint portraits of him as a sort of savior, And they warn people not to oppose him because that would be to oppose God’s chosen. Check out the pro-Trump contingent online sometime. Conservative Evangelicals, greedy billionaires, alt-Righters, willing to vote for p*ssy grabbers, child chasers, global warming deniers, and Goldman-Sacks cabinet members sacking the economy for the wealthy.

      • I know the Babylon Bee is satire. I was just filling in the blanks as to why N. Korean beliefs are not strictly atheistic, and also pointing out that truth is stranger than fiction when it comes to Some Christian admirers of Trump depicting him in grandiose portraits and showering him with verbal bouquets reminiscent of what might please a North Korean dictator.

    • Edward, do you mean like the Clintons and the Obamas , is that what you mean? Because then I can see why you would say this. Can you get some help for a that anger and hate that is leaking out of you? I sincerely hope so I would hate to see you end up incapacitated from this sickness that you have.

      • I don’t think you have taken a look at the aggrandizements of Trump by some of his conservative religious supporters, they say if you go against Trump you are going against God himself. I don’t recall Obama or Clinton being painted in equally high hagiographic fashion. And given N. Korea’s hagiographic depictions of their supreme leader and their underlying religious beliefs about his supernatural chosen status, one is bound to see some family resemblances.

    • Yep, this is what they are missing. Complete with divine origination stories about their leader and the whole 9 yards.
